National Plastics and Seals is proud to distribute a full range of thermoplastic resins, thermoset resins, color concentrates, and additives. We also offer custom compounded thermoplastic resins specifically designed to meet clients’ particular performance requirements and application needs.
One of our most popular, versatile thermoplastic resins is acrylic, which we use to create all types of custom plastic products and components. Acrylic is used across a huge range of industries and applications, from the aerospace and automotive sectors to art and commercial displays.

Acrylic offers virtually endless customization options. It can be used in pieces up to 8 feet long to 5 feet wide to 10 inches thick, and finishing options include flame polishing and hand buffing. Laser engraving and cutting are also offered.
The color selection is truly limitless. National Plastics and Seals offers 11 main colors — white, clear, red, blue, yellow, green, black, bronze, gray, fluorescent, and green edge, which looks like glass. But the choices don’t end there; custom colors are also available upon request.
Specific uses for acrylic include retail applications, such as point-of-purchase (POP) displays, display stands, store fixtures, signage, backlit signs, shelving, and display cases, as well as restaurant and food service applications, such as food storage, tabletops, light fixtures, brochure holders, water tanks, and countertops. Acrylic is also used in industrial settings for safety glazing, domes, instrument dials, light diffusers, sound barriers, impact shields, and text fixtures, and for items such as aquariums, picture frames, bus shelters, museum cases, and optical lenses.
Acrylic is impact-resistant, up to 17 times greater than that of ordinary glass. Finally, it doesn’t yellow, maintaining its transparency in all types of applications, which is important for items such as airplane windows, greenhouses, skylights, and store windows.
